MIMOSIS is the CMOS Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor designed for the Micro Vertex Detector (MVD) of the Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment currently under development at FAIR. The sensors have to combine a spatial and a time resolution of 5 mu m and 5 mu s, handle a peak hit rate of similar to 80 MHz/cm(2), and to withstand Total Ionizing radiation Doses (TID) of similar to 5 MRad and Non-Ionizing Energy Loss (NIEL) fluences of similar to 7 x 10(13) n(eq)/cm(2) before being replaced. Exploring nuclear structure with multiparticle azimuthal correlations at the LHC
This Letter presents systematic measurements of various flow observables using charged particles from Xe$-$Xe collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}~=~5.44$~TeV and Pb$-$Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}~=~5.02$~TeV recorded by the ALICE detector. Flow coefficients, flow fluctuations, nonlinear flow modes, and correlations between flow coefficients are measured as a function of centrality [...]

Exploring nuclear structure with multiparticle azimuthal correlations at the LHC
[CERN-EP-2024-228; arXiv:2409.04343]
Details of the nuclear structure of $^{129}$Xe, such as the quadrupole deformation and the nuclear diffuseness, are studied by extensive measurements of anisotropic-flow-related observables in Xe–Xe collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.44 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The results are compared with those from Pb–Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV for a baseline, given that the $^{208}$Pb nucleus exhibits a very weak deformation. [...]

First measurement of D$^{*+}$ vector meson spin alignment in Pb–Pb collisions at $\sqrt{{s}_{\text{NN}}}={5}.0{2}$ TeV
[CERN-EP-2025-072; arXiv:2504.00714]
The first measurement of prompt D$^{*+}$-meson spin alignment in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions with respect to the direction orthogonal to the reaction plane is presented. The spin alignment is quantified by measuring the element ρ$_{00}$ of the diagonal spin-density matrix for prompt D$^{*+}$ mesons with 4 < p$_{T}$< 30 GeV/c in two rapidity intervals, |y|< 0.3 and 0.3 < |y|< 0.8, in central (0–10%) and midcentral (30–50%) Pb–Pb collisions at $\sqrt{{s}_{\text{NN}}}={5}.0{2}$ TeV.
