000211836 520__ $$aIn this thesis, detailed investigation of an experiment performed on two-body electron capturedecay of Hydrogen-like 142Pm60+ ions, at GSI heavy ion research center in Germany in 2014and the results are discussed. The decay constant λ value is obtained from the fit of exponentialdecay function and compared with the λ values obtained from another 2008 and 2010 electroncapture experiments. In addition, amplitude and frequency values of special fit function namelymodulated exponential function, are observed for electron capture decay of 142Pm60+ ions. Thesevalues will enlighten the pathway for future experiment on the bound state beta decay of 205Tl.Also accelerator, detector and cooling systems and methods which have been used for the twobodyelectron capture decay of 142Pm60+ ions, are discussed in details. In addition, results of thisthesis contributes to the studies that focused on detailed investigation of formation of heavyelements (nucleosynthesis) with rapid neutron capture process so called r-process.
