Note: Patients die because deteriorations are missed. There is a huge unfulfilled need for better patient monitoring, diagnostics and reaction everywhere in healthcare. A reason is that, despite advancements with remote monitoring devices, the current care model still relies on short “snapshots'' examinations, which leave a lot of dangerous conditions missed, untackled, or tackled too late. At Checkpointcardio, we are enabling the switch from a “Snapshot” model to a “full movie” model where patients and carers are fully and constantly connected. We have set up the first of its kind 24/7 remote observation medical centre that, thanks to a wearable device and the use of AI, constantly monitors and manages healthcare delivery for more than 50 000 critically ill patients, already saving hundreds of lives. We now want to replicate the model for patients suffering from chronic diseases, multiplying both our business opportunity and the impact we have on people’s lives.
