Primary Descriptor

Specifies that the entry in question is a PRIMARY DESCRIPTOR in the sense of a normalized vocabulary, e.g. a normalized keyword. Those entries usually are stored to Marc21 650 17. "Main focus of the content of the material" are designated by primary descriptors. We also use primary descriptors as superset of secondary descriptors. E.g. Grand Challenges of MLZ constitute primary descriptors while Scientific areas constitute secondary descriptors.
