The computing landscape for FAIR - the FAIR Computing Conceptual Design Report

Abstract: This talk will delve into the challenges posed by upcoming experiments at FAIR in online/offline computing and data management. Johan will discuss the specific requirements of FAIR experiments and how these will be incorporated within the foreseen computing model. The roles of the FAIR-IT department and research pillars in meeting these challenges will be explored. Additionally, Johan will review developments in light of ongoing paradigm shifts in the computing world and open-science culture. All these topics will be addressed in the context of the recent formulation of the conceptual design report (CDR) for FAIR computing.
